It looks for a moment like perennial love-birds Alfie Moon and Kat Slater are finally going to get back together when they have a romantic dinner for two.

Alfie never really forgave Kat, who seems to be permanently clad in leopard skins, for sleeping with her nearly-man, gangster Andy.

But Kat only did the dirty deed to protect Alfie from being beaten up by Andy's cronies, and was gutted when the Moon-meister couldn't look her in the eye afterwards.

Now Kat's sister Little Mo is in on the act, and only has eyes for Alfie, but it is unclear whom the Shane Ritchie character really wants.

After their date, Kat and Alfie start fooling around with a chocolate eclair, and it looks like things are going to progress when they lock lips in a passionate clinch.

But suddenly Alfie goes cold, infuriating Kat who has already left half an inch of make-up on her man's face.

She storms out, leaving us to wonder whether the sweet, unassuming and unbearably dull Little Mo has won our Alfie's heart.
