5G Mast Proposal for Colehill

Hutchinson UK Ltd submits plans for an 18-metre 5G mast in Wimborne Road in Colehill.

Proposals for an 18-metre monopole tower with a wraparound cabinet in Wimborne Road in Colehill have been submitted to Dorset Council's planning department. 

 

Hutchinson UK Ltd says that the mast will help provide 5G network coverage in an East Dorset Village. In the document submitted, the applicant also said that there is a requirement to upgrade the Three network to provide improved coverage and capacity and that there is an "acute need" for a new mast in the area to deliver 5G services. 

 

It adds: "Options are extremely limited and the only viable solution that minimises amenity issues has been put forward."
