4 Common Signs That It’s Time for New Spill Containment Supplies and Cabinetry
Even the best equipment and supplies need to be replaced at some point.

Could it be that the time has come to part with some of the cabinets and spill containment supplies that are currently on hand? If you’re not sure, here are a few signs that the time to invest in new Eagle spill protection equipment along with some new cabinets has arrived.
The Cabinets are No Longer Airtight
Cabinetry that’s made to house flammable materials is supposed to be airtight. As the years pass, that particular quality may begin to fade. The result is that the cabinet no longer offers the same level of protection as in the past.
Remember the goal is not just to keep unauthorized people out. The cabinet is also designed to keep the contents inside. If your flammable storage cabinet no longer offers both qualities, it’s time to do some shopping. New safety cabinets for flammables will serve you well in more than one way.
You Could Use Larger Cabinetry
The cabinets that you have are still in good condition, but there’s one minor issue. Those cabinets are no longer large enough to hold everything that needs to be stored in a given area. Now is the time to assess your current needs and replace them with something new.
Fortunately, flammable safety cabinets are available in a variety of sizes. Consider the amount of space you can allocate for the cabinetry while also considering how much storage space is needed. By opting for a cabinet with the ideal height, width, and depth, your storage issue will no longer exist.
Some of Your Supplies and Equipment are Getting Old
How long have some of the supplies and equipment you store in the cabinets been around? Could it be that some of those spill prevention products are no longer as strong or viable as they were originally? If you have reasons to think so, purchasing replacements is a smart move on your part.
The same holds true for any equipment you may use to deploy the products. If there’s spill containment equipment that doesn’t work as well as in the past, it does need to be replaced. The last thing you want to face is an equipment failure when there’s a spill that needs immediate attention.
And Some Of What You Have is Obsolete
Advances in technology impacts just about everything. That includes the products and supplies that you use in your place of business. It may be that some of the spill containment supplies that you’ve used before are no longer the best options. If so, it’s time to get rid of the old and bring in the new.
Compare the composition and ingredients found in what you have with what’s on the market today. If there’s supplies and equipment that would help your plans for spill containment be more efficient, opt for the upgrades. It will only take one incident to confirm that spending the money on the newer products was the right thing to do.
Today is the ideal time to take an inventory and assess the condition and functionality of all the safety equipment and supplies you have on hand. Along with considering new flammable liquid safety cabinets, there may be a few other things that need replacing or possibly upgrading.
