100% Green Energy Society is One Step Closer

A Glasgow-based energy technology company unveils software that would allow more renewable energy devices to be connected to the grid.

Smarter Grid Solutions (SGS) has recently unveiled a new software specifically designed to allow more wind turbines, solar panels and other renewable energy devices to be connected to grid to help the country get a step closer to becoming a 100per cent green energy society. 

 

The firm's third generation ANM Strata programme will allow more batteries to be connected to the network to boost storage capacity. The latest version of the software has even more features against cyber attacks and for the generation and management of larger amounts of data. 

 

Colin Gault, head of products at SGS, said: "ANM Strata 3.0 is a leap forward in network operators' abilities to meet the challenges of reaching net-zero and tackling the climate emergency. Renewable energy and energy storage are essential components to decarbonise our power networks and this is the software that will enable much larger numbers of energy devices to be integrated into the grid while maintaining stability."
