You’ve probably heard of YouTube?
Well, it seems it’s getting bigger. Now the website, which shares videos over the internet, has passed the 1billion mark of viewers on its site each month. The group has said that more than 1billion people go on YouTube every month to watch an array of videos.
Whether you’re into watching videos about animals or someone’s home-made singing video, YouTube seems to have something for everyone.
And with the growing popularity of smartphones and such devises, now people can access their favourite websites over the internet wherever they are more easily.
The news comes less than half a year since YouTube was reported as having reached the 1billion mark.
Many people are becoming more familiar with adverts that appear before a video they are about to watch on the internet. In recent years the site has invested in ways to help its viewer base grow, allocating millions of dollars to projects to help do this. One area that the group seems to have been paying attention to is ads.
It’s also worth noting that companies in the technology world have to keep up-to-date with constant changes within the industry. In particular HD is becoming more popular.
Reportedly, YouTube finds ways of dealing with streaming, including what we may refer to ‘buffering’; while we wait for a video on a website to play.
YouTube, which is now owned by Google Inc., was originally launched approximately eight years ago.
