It may come as no surprise to many poor souls who have had to put up with the constant droning of Irish boyband Westlife, but pop guru Louis Walsh has admitted his hearing is not that great.
The man that brought us such, ahem, talents as Girls Aloud, Ronan Keating and Samantha Mumba, as well as ruling who does and does not make it past the early stages of X-Factor has a bit of a wax problem.
According to the Sun, the 52-year-old visited a Dublin specialist to get his ears syringed so that he could hear a little bit better.
"I got them syringed so that I could get my hearing back to normal," the music mogul said.
"I don't know if it's to do with the singing I've had to put up with at X-Factor auditions.
"It was just a minor thing but it makes a difference in my job," he added, apparently unaware of the understatement of the century.
Now if only fellow X-Factor judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne would go and do the same...
