Xbox One X 4K HDR Streaming Update

YouTube for Xbox One X updated to include 4K support; HDR support to follow.

YouTube finally allows 4K streaming on Xbox One, it has been confirmed. A spokesperson for the company added that “HDR support is coming soon.” He also said that the "the team is working to bring 4K YouTube and HDR support to Xbox One S" in addition to the Xbox One X.

 

Microsoft said that more information would be shared soon.

 

With this update, users of Xbox One X and Xbox One S will be able to play media in 4K, which used to be only available when using third-party apps like myTube. They will also be able to watch YouTube videos in glorious 4K resolution at 60 frames per seconds.
