Microsoft has revealed that all the files uploaded to its Upload Studio were monitored to ensure that users do not violate its code of conduct. The company said that the process will help maintain clean, safe, and fun environment for all users. In line with this, users of Xbox One who were caught swearing in video clips were suspended. However account owners will still have access to some features.
The news about account suspensions first circulated on gaming forums after users notice that they were not allowed to upload videos after using bad words. Gamers have different opinions about the move. One member said: "I question the validity of this, but the average gamer is 32. I don't mind hearing someone saying it. Free speech,"
Another said: "Game uploads get sent to everyone. You see them when you browse a game etc. There has to be some control and moderation. Your private conversations are not censored or moderated. Only what you share with the public which includes little kids."
