Wrestler Mick McManus has died

The Brit has died at the age of 93

Mick McManus, the UK wrestler, has died at the age of 93. The sad news of his death has been confirmed by the British Wrestlers Reunion.

 

Frank Rimer of the British Wrestlers Reunion said, as reported by The Independent: “I am deeply saddened to announce the death of the legend that was Mick McManus, who passed away at 1am this morning.”

 

Since the news of his death, tributes have been paid to the British wrestler.

 

McManus often wore black bottoms and was known to many people as the wrestler who many fans liked to dislike. One of the names he went by was ‘The Man You Love to Hate’.

 

He enjoyed a career in wrestling that lasted for over two decades.

 

Wrestling involves opponents facing each other often in a ring to battle. It was a sport that was much enjoyed in the 60’s and 70’s in particular, although these days it is still popular.
