Worst Telecom Provider?
EE has been named Britain's worst telecom provider - again.
18:01 16 December 2015
According to a damning report released by Ofcom, telecoms giant EE is Britain's worst broadband and home phone company.
The company received 45 complaints per 100,000 customers. Competitor Virgin Media only had six.
40per cent of the complaints were about faults and bad service, 20per cent were about glitches with bills and charges made up, and 19per cent were about customers getting frustrated because their complaints are not properly dealt with.
EE also got the most number of complaints over its landline service.
Meanwhile, Vodafone was named the worst pay monthly mobile phone company with 20 complaints per 100,000 customers. Tesco Mobile received just one.
Claudio Pollack, director of Ofcom’s content and consumer group, said: “We expect providers to make customer service and complaints handling top priorities, so it’s disappointing to see a rise in the number of complaints.
“Consumers have a right to expect good service and will rightfully complain when that standard isn’t met. Ofcom is continuing work
to make switching easier and our complaints data allows consumers to make meaningful comparisons that can be useful when looking for a new provider.”
