A song branded the 'worst song ever' has gone viral on the internet, notching up over 29million hits on site YouTube.
Thirteen-year-old Rebecca Black's song, Friday, has become an internet sensation and has even reached number 25 in the iTunes chart.
Rebecca has been trending on social networking site Twitter for days and the song itself has been the subject of huge online discussion.
The song has drawn so much attention due to its lyrics, which include:
"Yesterday was Thursday Thursday, today it is Friday Friday.
"Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards."
Music mogul Simon Cowell has also had his say on the Californian internet star, branding the track as "genius".
He told reporters:
"Love it! I've never seen anything cause so much controversy. I think it's genius.
"The fact that everyone's getting upset about it is hysterical. Any song to do with the weekend annoys you.
"It reminds me of 'Saturday Night', do you remember that song by Whigfield? It's what we call a 'hair dryer song' - a song girls sing into their hair dryers as they're getting ready to go out.
"But the fact that it's making people so angry is brilliant."
Friday was produced by Los Angeles-based independent label Ark Music Factory and is now available to download from iTunes.
