Worry Less About Senior Moments
Research shows that having “senior moments†or memory lapses is not entirely bad.

Are you having senior moments or memory lapses? There is nothing to worry as it may be a positive sing that your brain is not yet that senior.
A recent research suggests that noticing memory lapses is good and that the time to worry is when you stop clocking them.
The research was conducted by a US team and participated by more than 2,000 people, average age 76, who were free from dementia. Over 10 years, they were given tests of memory and thinking ability.
Researcher Dr Robert Wilson, of Rush University Medical Centre, said: “Our findings suggest that unawareness of one's memory problems is an inevitable feature of late-life dementia, driven by a build-up of dementia-related changes in the brain.
"Most studies of memory unawareness in dementia have focused on people who have already been diagnosed. In contrast, this new study began following older adults before they showed signs of dementia."
"This study underscores the importance of family members looking for help from doctors and doctors getting information from friends or family when making decisions about whether a person has dementia, since people may be unable to give reliable reports about the history of their own memory and thinking abilities."
