MTV announce who's won the accolade this year...

Lada Gaga has been voted Woman of the Year in MTV News' poll.

The pop icon topped the list of female celebrities for the second year in a row.

She beat off competition from the likes of Katy Perry, who came in second, Taylor Swift, Snooki and Nicki Minaj.

The Bad Romance singer has barely been out of the spotlight this year, with her infamous meat dress and her video for Telephone with Beyonce being some of her top moments.

She also won a huge 13 MTV Video Music Awards this year, as well as being immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds, alongside Barack Obama and Michael Jackson.

Kanye West was voted MTV News' Man of the Year, closely followed by Eminem who came in second, Justin Bieber, Drake and rapper Lil Wayne.

Lady Gaga is due to release her new album, Born This Way, in the New Year.
