Windpower
Wind power is now the cheapest electricity to produce in the UK.

Electricity produced by wind power is now the cheapest in the UK, as confirmed by a new study by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). The study explained that the rise of renewables, as well as technical advances in efficiency and power shortage, is making fossil fuel-generated energy more expensive.
Generating electricity through renewable power sources is free. There are costs related to staff and maintenance but these are very minimal. With fossil fuels, energy companies have to pay for the gas or coal that will be burned to keep power plants going.
Today, more and more renewable energy generators are produced and it is expected that the cost will be low, more companies will choose a cheap method of generating power.
The analysis added that wind power is now cheaper than fossil fuels in the UK and Germany and it is expected to be used by other developed countries soon.
At the moment, only around 10per cent of the UK’s electricity is generated by wind. However, as the method begins to make more financial sense, the share is expected to dramatically increase.
