Anil Menon, Global President of Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities, said: “Funding is a major stumbling block for municipalities beginning their smart city transformation. In other news, Cisco has renamed its general IoT platform from Smart+Connected Digital Platform to Cisco Kinetic for Cities. It has also added new tools to support public safety and is now using the town of Cary, North Carolina as a ‘living lab’ to showcase all its innovative technology.
