What is Stationhead?
Stationhead, a start-up founded by musician Ryan Star Jace Kay, allows anyone to become a streaming radio DJ with live listener calls.

The new smartphone app allows anyone to turn their playlists into a personal radio station.
Star said that the main selling feature of the app is that it offers a live experience. Users will not only be able to share a playlist but they will also be allowed to host a broadcast where they introduce the songs and talk about anything else under the sun. Users can even call the listeners up to have live, on-air conversations
Stationhead integrates with existing streaming services – it launched with Spotify and Apple Music. This means that in order to use the service, users require a subscription to one of those services.
The service provides a fun way for individual DJs to share the music they love to the rest of the world. They will also have the opportunity to interact with strangers – and eventually, maybe even make some money.
As for musicians, the service offers them an alternative way to get their music heard. Star said that one of the reasons he created the service was because of the tremendous costs he was facing as an independent musician trying to get his music played.
