Madden is one of the most enjoyable sporting games out there. Even those who aren't as well-versed in the world of American football can pick up this game and enjoy it. However, sometimes a team's ratings might not reflect how a team is doing in the present moment. Take the Cleveland Browns, for example. They are the fifth-best team with an 87 rating, yet they only have a mediocre record. Of course, these are based on the previous year and a player's overall body of work. However, there are updates as the year progresses, and even EA can't predict how a season will go.

As a video game series, it has sold more than 250 million copies, becoming the second most sold sports video game in the world.

Madden is a fantastic game, but a lot of its appeal may come from North America due to the sport's popularity in that region. On the other hand, football is the most popular sport in the world, and it is reflected in the sales of the FIFA video game series. FIFA has sold over 325 million copies for a Guinness World Record.

 

It's easy to see why. FIFA 22 is noted for its impeccable gameplay, real-life graphics and insanely fun game modes. The game is excellent at bringing people together through online gaming. Ultimate Team is its crown jewel, with players trying to assemble the best squads with rare cards. Pro Clubs allows players to team up with their friends online as they control one player. There is also a career mode, VOLTA, online seasons, UEFA Champions League and much more. It's no wonder that FIFA is the choice of millions of gamers.

 

 

NBA 2K

 

NBA 2K is the basketball gaming series by developers 2K Sports. The game rose to popularity in the 2000s, where it dethroned EA's NBA Live to become the best NBA game available. It's noted for its realistic approach to basketball, where players likeness, movements, and skills are almost identical to what they are in real life. 

 

NBA 2K first came out in November 1999 and was a new series that would take over the 2000s. After over 21 years in sports gaming development, 2K has brought out many features that gamers enjoy. The most recent edition has its iconic MyCareer mode, where you create your own player that you can change with customisable features. You progress your player from the ground up in their NBA career and take them to the park online. NBA 2K22 also has MyTeam, similar to EA's Ultimate Team, MyLeague, and so much more. It's the pinnacle of basketball gaming.

 

As gaming continues to grow as an industry, these games have firmly established themselves as the best in their respective sport. However, as time goes on, maybe we will see some challengers to their throne.
