With increasing technology and digitalization in today’s world, creating and managing programming has nearly become a vital task. Day to day base is now becoming software driven and for that, coding is something which can be learned to increase job opportunities in future or optimization of the current job.

Thimble by Mozilla (Teen)
Thimble teaches HTML, JavaScript and CSS. The interesting bit of the website is split screen through an online editor, where one side a webpage preview can be shown and simultaneously its code on the other side. This way students can also see the responsiveness of their codes.
Blockly (8+)
Blockly uses a unique and captivating concept to teach coding by using puzzle methods. Each puzzle piece represents a code and in order to complete a code sequence, every piece needs to be joined together through dragging and dropping, which will complete a story that makes up a software program.
Tynker (4-14)

App inventor (13+)
Teaches kids to build android apps using block language. It lets the user program just by moving objects around the screen. It starts from setting up App inventors and gradually progresses to build complex apps. The block approach is similar to block-based programming.

It teaches kids coding through online games. Kids are instructed to write codes which will help a monkey gather bananas. This way through a chain of challenges, a kid is taught a number of codes that help him/her to build their own game. Their stories cover all sorts of concepts such as direction and sequencing.
GameBlox (13+)
Block based programming site that allows anyone to create online games for web and mobile. There is a ‘Make a game’ button that takes you to the code editing screen. It has five getting started tutorials which is all that is needed. Also, they have an online forum where queries can be posted if something is not understandable or there is a problem with the site. They have gathered some video tutorials from YouTube as well which will make the learning easier.
