Smart home automation is a fairly new and developing industry with experts saying that it may take years to make the entire process seamless. With countless of tech companies producing single-purpose gadgets, it is very easy for us to find ourselves with a constellation of flashing LEDs that keep us up at night.

 

This problem is inspiring technologists and designers to focus their talents on producing to what industrial designer Benjamin Hubert “flexi-tech” and multi-functional products that integrate seamlessly and discreetly into our interiors.

 

Mr Hubert is the designer of the Rise lamp; the first product to be released in Nolii’s debut collectido of wireless tech products. It is multi-functional; it works as a lamp, phone charger and alarm clock.

 

Like the Rise Lamp, the newly redesigned Nest Thermostat E has also been designed to blend into existing interiors.

 

Lionel Guicherd-Callin, global head of energy product and services, of the first Nest thermostat, said: ‘In 2011, we reinvented the thermostat category to make it easy for people to save energy.
