Ben Haenow has taken the Christmas top spot with his X Factor winner’s single “Something I Need.”

The single is now the second fastest-selling single of the year after Band Aid 30’s “Do They know It’s Christmas?” charity single that was rebooted to make funds for the Ebola crisis.

“To have even been in the running for Christmas number one against some of the names that were in the race and then to have actually won is incredible,” Haenow told OfficialCharts.com.

“I’m gonna go and have a few good drinks with my mates…definitely more than a few good drinks…to really celebrate! I’m absolutely shocked. I can’t believe it.”

Meanwhile, “Uptown Funk” has broken the record for the most streams in a single week with 2.34m streams this week. It overtook previous record holder Ed Sheeran and his track “Thinking Out Loud.”
