Walt Disney vs Netflix
Walt Disney Co. is pushing through with its plans to pull all of its Disney and Pixar films from Netflix and put them into its own paid service.

The media conglomerate’s decision did not sit well with fans, who are urging Disney to change its mind. Cable operators aren’t happy as well because they are paying enormous amount of money so they can make shows available outside of the TV bundle.
However, it seems that nothing can stop Disney from becoming an exclusive online distributor. Starting in 2019, the newest Disney and Pixar films will no longer be found on Netflix. Disney is also creating a streaming service in 2018 for its ESPN sports content, which will carry about 10,000 live games a year including Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Grand Slam Tennis and college sports. Disney CEO Robert said: “I would characterise this as extremely important — a very, very significant strategic shift for us,”
As for Netflix, analysts agree that it will fare just fine without Pixar and Disney content. A JP Morgan report reads: Viewing of these movies “likely accounts for a single-digit percentage” of total viewership time on Netflix, and “we do not expect Disney’s departure to have a material impact on subscriber numbers.”
