Louise Redknapp will host ‘Something for the Weekend’
10:28 10 December 2009
WAG Louise Redknapp is the new host of 'Something For The Weekend', it has been reported.
The glamorous wife of footballer Jamie Redknapp will join regular host Tim Lovejoy on the BBC's Sunday morning magazine show.
Former pop star Louise hosted the show for three weeks in the summer, enough to impress the show bosses.
She will replace nutritionist Amanda Hamilton, who is quitting at the end of the year.
Show chef Simon Rimmer will round-off the presenting threesome.
Redknapp told The Sun: "I've really enjoyed having the opportunity to interview some great guests.
"Working with Tim and Simon and presenting live is an exciting prospect."
Redknapp first found fame as a singer in the girl group Eternal.
Redknapp's reality matchmaking show, 'Farmer Wants a Wife', was recently axed from Channel Five after falling ratings.
Ratings for 'Something for the Weekend', meanwhile, have jumped from 400,000 to 1.1million in two years.
