QualitySolicitors, the group who offer expert legal advice for both individuals and businesses in the UK, have announced that they will release the specially recorded track from their emotional For Whatever Life Brings advert.
A cover of the classic Jimmy Cliff single Hard Road To Travel, the track has been given a stripped down modernisation from rising UK singer/songwriter Rachel K Collier and will be available to download from 1 May.
Rachel is a 22 year old singer / songwriter born in Swansea, Wales. In 2006, she spent 4 years creating music, beats, sound effects and designing sounds on the Creative Music Technology course at The Royal Welsh College of Music. Last year Rachel moved to London to further pursue her music career and has since been writing for others as well as developing her own sound.
The advert was launched through a one-off showing in the Dancing on Ice final at the end of March and has subsequently racked up a massive 2million views on Youtube.
Beautifully put together by Team Saatchi, the 90 second advert shows the ups and downs that we all face in our life be it having a family or moving house to dealing with heartache and redundancy.
Julian Borra of Team Saatchi said:
"We tried to find the song that delivered the right kind of emotion through its lyrics and structure and then see if potentially we could reinvent it musically to fit the commercial.
"Hard Road To Travel is incredibly inspiring as a piece of music."
Hard Road To Travel looks set to follow in the footsteps of recent hits from the adverts from Charlene Soraia (Wherever You Will Go - Twinings) and Ellie Goulding (Your Song – John Lewis) as QualitySolicitors Whatever Life Brings advert takes to our screens again in May for a multi-million pound campaign.
With 90-second, 60-second and 30-second ad slots planned to run throughout May the advert and the song will be reaching millions of people who can fully empathise with both.
