An American woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder at the bodies of seven dead babies were discovered crammed into cardboard boxes at her former home.
Salt Lake City police in Utah were called to Megan Huntsman's former house after her estranged husband made a call about a dead infant in the house.
Huntsman apparently gave birth to the children between 1996 and 2006. She moved out of the house three years ago.
A spokesman for Pleasant Grove Police said "officers responded to the residence and observed the body of a newborn infant that appeared to be full term.
"A search warrant was obtained for the residence and during the execution of the warrant, officers discovered six additional infant bodies.
"Each infant was found packaged in separate containers."
A cause of death has yet to be established. DNA samples of Huntsman and her estranged husband have also been taken to establish for certain if the two are the parents of the dead children.
