Boxing legend Muhammed Ali was taken back to the hospital after he was found “unresponsive” in his bed at his Scottsdale, Arizona home. The former champion boxer, who was hospitalised on December 20, is suffering from a urinary tract infection.
Ali family spokesman Bob Gunnel has confirmed that he is in stable condition. He added: "There were still issues with the urinary tract infection.”
Meanwhile, a source said: Ali “went to bed Tuesday night, but didn’t wake up in the afternoon or evening the next day. He was sleeping for 24 hours. He wasn’t responding.”
“They thought he might be too exhausted,” added the source.
The three-time world heavyweight champion was released from hospital on January 06.
Earlier this week, his daughter Rasheda Ali-Walsh said: “My daddy is a strong man. He's so resilient and we're all very grateful and blessed.”
Ali suffers from Parkinson’s disease.
