If you have never visited Mr.Doob’s page before, you might be forgiven for thinking you have reached a broken link. Hit the URL www.mrdoob.com/projects/harmony/ and all you get is a blank page with some buttons to click on top. You might already be tempted to hit that back arrow, but hey: you’re here, and curiosity gets the better of you. So you click on those buttons and discover something quite wonderful!

The blank screen becomes your canvas, the mouse your brush. You will have an endless choice of colours and hues to work with, and even the background is changeable. You can work with pencil-thin lines and large brush strokes, the size of which is controlled by you.

Like your work? Click a button and save it, and start another masterpiece. Otherwise you can simply clear it and start all over.

So, whether you just want to dress up your monitor, or unleash that Picasso or Monet in you, Harmony might just be what you’re looking for.
