Ukrainian-born Len Blavatnik, owner of Warner Music Group, is the richest of the super-rich in the United Kingdom.

Ukrainian-born Len Blavatnik, owner of Warner Music Group, has been named by Sunday Times as the richest person in the UK. Blavatnik, who is an American citizen and who was number four last year, have stakes in Spotify and headphone-maker Beats Electronics.
In 2011, he bought Warner for $3.3bn in cash. Last year, reports say that he spent £9m in an auction where he bought Damien Hirst’s gold-plated woolly mammoth. He also donated £75m to Oxford University to establish a school of government in his name.
Sri and Gopi Hinduja, owners of the Hinduja Group, who were at number one last year, came in at second this year with an estimate fortune of £13bn. Galen and George Weston and family, the people behind Primark and Selfridges are at number 3 with estimated fortune of £11bn.
Meanwhile, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson is one of the few British-born billionaires who made it on the top 25 with £4.1bn fortune. He is joined by Sports Direct and Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley with £3.5bn, Top Shop owner Sir Philip Green and vacuum inventor Sir James Dyson.
