The UK has won more International Emmy nominations than any other country.
UK shows have won more nominations than any other country for this year's coveted International Emmys.
Channel 4 landed six nominations for TV's answer to the Oscars, including one for the reality show, Wife Swap.
Canterbury Tales and Waking The Dead helped the BBC to four nominations.
The awards will be hosted by comedian Graham Norton at a lavish ceremony in New York next month.
Norton is himself a previous winner, claiming an International Emmy of his own back in 2001.
"This year again, the nominees represent excellence in television programming produced outside of the United States," said Academy president Bruce Paisner.
