Fred Talbot, the 64-year-old weatherman who used to be a teacher, is being accused of nine counts of indecent assault and one serious sexual assault that were allegedly committed between 1968 and 1983. He entered a not guilty plea on all child sex charges and is now currently out on bail.
Four of the alleged victims attended Altrincham Grammer school for Boys and one was at Elgin High in Newcastle.
The bail, which was granted at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court by Judge Jeffrey Lewis, orders Mr Talbot to live at his home address and to have no contact with witnesses and alleged victims. In addition, he is not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with a child.
