Following her announcement that she was terminally ill, TV star Lynda Bellingham has died after a battle against bowel cancer. She died in her husband’s arms on Sunday just days after filming her emotional final appearance on Loose Women.
Tributes flooded Twitter following the sad news. Lynda’s close friend and old Loose Women co-presenter Jane McDonald wrote: "I can’t believe she’s gone because she was in such great spirits and was still more concerned about all of us than herself, and that was Lynda in a nutshell really.
"The love of Lynda Bellingham will be with each and everyone of us as soon as we picture her.
"I will always be so grateful to Loose Women for introducing me to one of my closest loveliest friends ever.
She added: "Keep the spirit alive - she was fun and fabulous and that’s how we have to remember her."
Meanwhile, Christopher Biggins paid tribute live on air. He said: "It’s a blessing in a way as we don’t want her to suffer more than she had to."
