Simon King, one of the BBC's 'Hairy Bikers' has been rushed to hospital following a rush-hour crash.
Filming of a BBC Christmas special featuring the Hairy Biker duo was halted after one of the two roving chefs was injured in an accident in Tyneside.
King, from Newcastle, was thrown off his bike on Thursday. His TV partner Dave Myers was following behind.
The 42-year-old was taken to Newcastle General Hospital for treatment to a knee injury. He is recovering at home.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police stated that nobody else was hurt in the collision.
A spokeswoman for the Hairy Bikers show said: "He was taken to hospital and he had some X-rays done.
"He is fine, but a bit shocked, and will be resting at home with his family."
The cooking duo was en route to a location shoot for a festive series inspired by the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' song. This has now been postponed.
A Northumbria force spokesman said: "Police were called on Thursday morning to a report that a motorcyclist had come off his bike at Salter's Lane, Gosforth.
"The motorcyclist was riding a red Ducati motorcycle and was taken to Newcastle General Hospital with what have been described as minor leg injuries."
