Plan the trip as a couple
When it’s your very first trip together it’s very important you both listen to each other’s needs and wants. It’s meant to be a treat for both of you, that’s why you need to find a destination, hotel, and transportation you both can agree on. If one of you wants to have a proper outdoor experience and the other one says yes but secretly wouldn’t like it, it can ruin the trip. Come up with some suggestions for both of you and compromise.
Choose a romantic trip
Since it is your very first trip abroad together, some romance would be suitable. Choose a nice romantic hotel, go to ‘The City of Love – Paris or go camping in the most beautiful settings.
Give each other some alone time too
It can be a bit hard to be with a person 24-7 and most people would feel that. Even though you love and care about each other, it’s also tiring, if you’re not on your own at all. It’s okay to just take a bit of alone time on the trip. Eat breakfast alone, if the other ones need a sleep-in, go for a walk alone or sit and read a book somewhere alone.
Help each other out
When you go abroad, you only have each other. This means helping each other in any way possible. You’re both in a foreign territory. This means, equally helping each other with finding your way, taking care of the luggage, or speaking with locals to figure something out. If one person always must take initiative to do things, it’s not going to be such a great trip.
