Touch Screen Tech for Baillieston Care Home

A Baillieston care home is to provide residents with new touch screen technology to help them during pandemic.

Swintonhill Nursing Home is set to purchase a bespoke interactive touch screen device to help its residents during pandemic. 

 

The staff at the nursing home started a GoFundMe page to raise £6,000 to procure a cutting-edge technology needed to help residents with reminiscence, brain training, physical exercise, creativity, entertainment and the opportunity to video call family and friends. 

 

The staff has managed to raise almost £7,500, allowing them to improve the home's garden using the extra cash. 

 

Organiser of the fundraiser, Ava Henderson said: ”Living through this pandemic is hard for everyone but with the use of technology it seems to make it that little bit better and we want to bring that to life.”
