Jade Thompson has been crowned the latest winner of Britain & Irelands Next Top Model.
The 20-year-old Stoke-on-Trent native beat out fellow finalist Juste Juozapaityte in the showdown of the finale of the seventh series of the modelling competition.
Both girls received last minute training from supermodel Daisy Lowe and America's Next Top Model star, Miss J.
Supermodel host and Head Judge Elle Macpherson said that the panel had selected Thompson as the champion because she possessed a "special kind of beauty". She said:
"This show is about finding a special kind of beauty. A unique modern kind of beauty and that is what Jade is."
Jade, speaking after her win said:
"I can't believe it. I'm so happy. I'm numb. I didn't even cry at first. I just feel like all the hard work I've put into it. It's paid off."
Former X Factor stylist and Next Top Model judge, Grace Woodward said of Thompson:
"Jade is like her name, she's a rare and precious stone we've found in the rough."
