So, it seems that winter has made another appearance recently? With many people across the UK enduring wintery weather this spring. If the cold snap is biting too hard at your heels, check out our Top 10 Best Ways to Stay Warm this Spring…
.Wrap up warm: Firstly, you need to hold off on storing away your winter clothes! Many of us tidy clothes away that we won’t wear for a while. But if you’re doing your spring cleaning make sure you keep your woolly hat and gloves at the ready, as these will ultimately keep you warmer in cold weather.
.Hot water bottles: Rather than turning the heating up at home why not sit with a hot water bottle while you watch your favourite TV shows? Not only is this an affordable way to stay warm this spring, hot water bottles can also give you instant heat where you need it most.
.Sleep well: If you’ve had a bad sleep you’re more likely to be feeling a little rubbish and to notice the cold more. So, keep on top of your sleep to help you feel at your best. It’s number three on our Top 10 Best Ways to Stay Warm this Spring list!
.Wearing a scarf: Personally, we think that wearing a scarf is under-rated! Keeping your neck warm makes you feel a lot warmer than what many people think. Whether you have a long wrap-around scarf or a woolly number that you tie in a knot, scarves can help you to tackle chilly conditions.
.Choose your best coat: Spring is the time of year when many of us look outside and begin to feel excited at the prospect of enjoying brighter, warmer days. However, don’t opt for a lighter coat when you next go out if it is still cold as wearing a big warm coat is certainly one way to stay warm this spring.
.Heating your home: Many people open windows at home to let fresh air into the house. Especially at the onset of spring when the sun usually makes more of an appearance compared to winter months. However, if you want to want to make the most of the heating in your house, be sure to close off any drafts. This will help keep your home feeling warmer.
.Staying warm at work: It’s worth bearing in mind that some people can feel the cold at work. If you work outside be sure to wear many layers this spring if you’re feeling cold. If you work in a cold office, having a cup of tea or other hot drink while on your break should help warm you through.
.Thick socks and good shoes: During winter we all love to wear thick woolly socks to keep Jack Frost from biting at our toes. Well, it should be no different at the start of spring we say! Just because the weather usually turns milder during spring, it doesn’t mean your feet will be toasty warm. Remember that the ground underfoot could still be cold, so wearing good footwear will help look after your feet.
.Bedtime: Wear bed-socks we say! This is one sure way to keep your toes from feeling cold during the chilly nights.
.Exercise this spring: Hopefully we’ve all been making use of our gym membership since Christmas (if you have one) and stuck to our diets if this was our New Year’s Resolution? Exercising is one way you can stay warm this Spring.
