'They should be shot'

Clarkson in trouble again over comments...

Jeremy Clarkson has found himself in hot water, after he declared that striking public sector workers should be "shot" in front of their families.

The controversial presenter made the comments yesterday, when asked about the walk-outs by Alex Jones and Matt Baker on BBC One's The One Show.

He told the hosts:

"I'd have them all shot. I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families.

"I mean, how dare they go on strike when they've got these gilt-edged pensions that are going to be guaranteed while the rest of us have to work for a living."

The BBC was quick to issue an apology, but not before celebrities and users reacted on social networking site, Twitter.

Piers Morgan called Clarkson, who presents Top Gear alongside James May and Richard Hammond, a "nasty little twerp", while Labour shadow minister for the Cabinet Office, Jon Trickett, posted:

"Clarkson should apologise. And the prime minister should make clear he disassociates himself from the distasteful remarks uttered by one of his friends."

Jeremy is renowned for his controversial comments, most recently offending singer George Michael with comments about his sexuality.
