Apple have announced that there are now over 600 new apps for the Apple Vision Pro. New spatial apps have been created, helping the total number of compatible apps surpass 1 million. The Apple Vision Pro provides a canvas, where apps can scale far beyond the boundaries of a normal display. Intuitive features, along with a 3D user interface help users to navigate with their voice, hands, and eyes. Spatial experiences can also transform any room into a theatre for films, TV shows, and sports. There are also stunning new gameplay environments, helping to take users to amazing new places.
New Gameplay Experiences
With a fantastic range of titles, the Apple Vision Pro is shaping up to be rather exciting. It offers a new dimension to classic games while providing a range of new options. You’ll find arcade games as well as several immersive titles. Of course, with the Apple Vision Pro, you’re not just limited to the games available on the app store. For example, you can still use the online casino at Paddy's, accessing hundreds of slot games in full screen, allowing you to make the most of the fun graphics and seamless animations. With AR mode activated, you can see your surroundings, while playing the games on a virtual screen. Apple Vision Pro helps to unlock the imaginations of developers from around the world, and it seems that they are all very much inspired by the range of spatial experiences that are now available. This shows a promising future for the gaming sector as a whole.
Ultra-High Resolution Displays and 4K Content
Apple Vision Pro features an ultra-HD display that has way more pixels than a 4K television. Users can watch their favourite content on a screen that is over 100 feet long. Fans of sports can rejoice, as some apps, such as PGA Tour Vision give you the chance to use real-time shot tracking on top of a 3D model of a golf course. This can be done alongside scorecards, course information, tournament details and more. When looking at the spatial computing in Apple Vision Pro, it’s not hard to see that Apple is teeing up to deliver a phenomenal experience for gamers and sports fans across the world. With 600 new visionOS apps available, Apple is showcasing the fact that they are dedicated to their product, continually investing in new tech to ensure that people always have the best possible experience when enjoying their favourite forms of entertainment. Even though the Apple Vision Pro is only on sale in the US right now, Apple have formally announced that they plan to release it in further regions.
This includes the UK in 2024, with the possibility of it being in December. From there, the Apple Vision Pro will roll out to other countries. Apple has plans to introduce 12 new languages to the virtual keyboard, as currently, the keyboard only supports US English and Emoji. Apple’s upcoming languages, which could indicate which countries are being targeted next, include Cantonese, French, English, German, Korean, Japanese and Chinese.
It will be interesting to watch more and more companies develop specific visionOS apps that will take advantage of the spatial computing inside the Vision Pro. It's great to see this has started, and we are lucky that Apple developed it to allow compatibility, otherwise, it would have been like the first iPhone which only had 16 apps.
