Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Jessie J, and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue will be coming back for The Voice next series, BBC has confirmed. They will once again choose and mentor the acts.
However, prior to this confirmation, Jessie J has said that she will not come back to the show in her biography. She changed her mind in summer when the book was already published.
The Voice’s audience stats for the last season was reportedly 9.2million on average. This could have been slightly higher had the show not lost viewers at the end of the blind auditions process.
This might be the reason why Mark Linsey, BBC controller of entertainment, has hinted at slight changes for this year’s show according to some reports, in a bid to keep viewers more interested in the later stages.
These changes are something that judge Danny O’Donoghue will welcome. He said that he had high hopes for the show’s spring return.
