The top 10 most corrupt states in America
According to a study that was based on 25,000 convictions of public officials, Mississippi is the most corrupt state in America.

A recent study, which was a joint venture between the University of Hong Kong and Indiana University, Mississippi is the most corrupt state in America. This is based on more than 25,000 convictions of public officials for violation of federal corruption laws between 1976 and 2008.
Yahoo’s Main Street added that Mississippi is also the poorest.
The report said that: 'States with higher levels of corruption are likely to favor construction, salaries, borrowing, correction, and police protection at the expense of social sectors such as education, health and hospitals.'
Meanwhile, the least corrupt state is Oregon, followed by Washington and Minnesota.
