The skiing squirrel returns!

The squirrel wowed us with its skiing prowess on America’s Got Talent and now it’s back, Twiggy has returned to skiing.

After wowing us in films Dodgeball and Anchorman, Twiggy continues to astound us with water skiing skills. Twiggy burst back into the limelight this year in Michigan Fun zone after years away from the big screen.

Twiggy’s immense skill got the squirrel an audition on America’s Got Talent and as it happens, Twiggy is not a passing fancy. Donning specially constructed water skis, Twiggy moves around with a motorized water boat.

Audiences have had a lot to say about the talented squirrel: Twiggy is so cute. Another person remarked that instead of gliding on the remote controlled speedboat, they should teach a squirrel how to drive the boat.

There have been a lot of Twiggys since 1979. Their owners, Chuck and Louise Best began training squirrels 34 years ago after Chuck decided to try out training the family pet, then a squirrel, how to ski on his daughter’s remote controlled speed boat.

The current Twiggy continues to elicit a lot of admiration as much as the first Twiggy who debuted on a TV series in 1979. The other squirrels are retired as family pets.
