You can access many amazing things with it – movies, songs, books, writing services, and even games! One type of gadget is particularly beloved – a smartphone.
Let’s talk a little about some of the cons of using a smartphone.
Before buying a new mobile phone, the consumer studies the characteristics of the devices, wanting to get to the point and own the perfect device. At the same time, buyers often do not consider the nuances that can leave an unpleasant aftertaste during the gadget's operation.
So, having decided on the difference between models, shape and size, screen and camera, processor, and price, we recommend that you pay attention to the following points:
1. Glass body
The case, made of tempered glass, undoubtedly attracts the eye, looks fashionable and beautiful, and adds style to the device's look. However, tempered glass does not offer a high degree of protection against drops and damage, leaving the wearer in constant concern about keeping the fixture intact. Indeed, a fairly large percentage of consumers unintentionally break the case, subsequently rebuilding it and incurring high financial costs. A cover for similar cell phones often saves the device, protecting it from falling, although it hides the features and graceful forms of the device;
2. Applications
Mobile manufacturers always pre-install applications on their devices. The number of these programs can be completely different. Some brands, by default, download too many applications, and, as a rule, half of them are not used by the end-user. The problem is that they cannot be deleted. This nuance is especially relevant for inexpensive smartphones, where the RAM does not exceed 2 GB. The built-in memory is not higher than 16 GB, in which case the preinstalled programs can easily take up half of this memory, leaving very little space for the owner's real needs.
3. RAM
Not every person is an advanced mobile user, so most of the audience may not understand and pay attention to RAM and built-in memory indicators, especially if there is a slot for a micro-SD card. Meanwhile, certain applications are installed exclusively in RAM, without the possibility of transferring to the card. This can become an unexpected and incorrigible problem if it turns out that there is simply no room for the desired program to be installed, which is why “pure” Android is so popular, and many prefer devices with at least 3 gigabytes of RAM;
4. Autonomy
Every year gadgets are becoming more technological and functional. The development of smartphones has been rapid, and the new capabilities of devices continue to amaze. If black-and-white push-button cell phones could work for up to a week, and other Philips copies for up to two weeks, then current devices can easily be discharged in one day. A powerful filling and a high-definition screen consume a lot of energy, while the work of gadgets is based on the battery. It is the battery that gives the device the energy with which the product is ready for use. High autonomy is an important parameter that should not be overlooked before buying a new model.
5. Repair
As soon as a push-button phone was transformed into a smartphone, the price of mobile phones increased significantly, which is not surprising because the capabilities of a device with an operating system have become limitless. The components for them are more serious and expensive. Repairing devices will be inexpensive only with minor problems. In other cases, it will be expensive, with some damage and "indecent" expensive. For example, the cost of a screen can reach 40% of the cost of the product, so, if necessary, you will have to pay a big sum. It is important to take good care of your gadget, use protective glass, a cover, minimizing the very possibility of mechanical damage;
6. Technology and security
A smartphone is a complex high-tech device, in its characteristics close to a real computer, offering users innovative developments in the form of a fingerprint scanner, locking the phone with a password, remote control of a smartphone, storing personal files in the device's memory and cloud storage, and much more. At the same time, some situations are best taken care of in advance.
In conclusion, modern technology is incredible. It allows us to connect with people across the globe and entertains us when we’re bored. But, nothing’s perfect. Remember about the cons and use them with caution. Don’t let gadgets take over your life; make it simply your helping hand.
