1. Grand Theft Auto Vice City
Even though every Grand Theft Auto video game is hilarious in its own way, Vice City is particularly funny, thanks to the radio DJs that you can listen to as you drive your car all over the city and work on completing your missions or just being a bad boy. You may end up laughing so hard at what they say that you end up having to stop playing for a few moments. Beyond the radio, though, you can also find various other humorous lines throughout the game, especially since characters are voiced by celebs like Samuel L. Jackson and Ray Liotta.
2. Conker’s Bad Fur Day
Conker’s Bad Fur Day is a game that was popular on Nintendo 64, and it was reminiscent of Super Mario 64 in terms of its style. But this game was much funnier than Mario could ever be because you take on the role of a squirrel who happens to also be an alcoholic. He is working on making his way home so that he can be with his girlfriend, but he is met with some graphic violence along the way. There is a lot of dark humor throughout this game, along with references to some classic films from Hollywood. Expect strong language and sexual themes too, so this game certainly isn’t for young players, but it will be hilarious for adults.
3. Brutal Legend
Brutal Legend is available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as well as Linux, Mac, and PC. This is an action-adventure video game that has you taking on the role of Eddie Riggs, who is voiced by Jack Black. You’re basically a roadie who’s been transported into a world of fantasy that was inspired by the most beloved icons in the heavy metal musical genre. As Eddie, you’ll meet everyone from Lemmy to Ozzy, and each character will serve to bring even more humor into the game and its hilarious moments.
4. Saints Row: The Third
Saints Row: The Third is one of those games that puts you into an open world environment where you can do anything you want. Be as absurd and ridiculous as you desire, whether you want to punch your enemies while wearing boxing gloves, go skydiving, or just about anything else. The humor in this game is self-aware, and that’s what makes it so much fun to play.
There are plenty more really funny video games where these came from, but definitely check these out if you’re looking for a game that you don’t have to take seriously at all.
