A new 'Terminator' film is to be made, with or without star of the series Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Producers want the actor-turned-politician to take a cameo role in the new film, due for release in 2008, but are concerned the star's political career could make an appearance impossible.
Producer Andrew Vajna, who worked with Arnie on 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines', is quoted in Scotland's Daily Record newspaper as saying: "There is a very interesting role for Arnold if he decides he wants to do it.
"But I am not sure where he is with his politics. We will see."
The third instalment of the popular sci-fi series, released in 2003, was the 58-year-old star's last major movie role before he was elected Governor of California.
Besides 'Terminator 4', Arnie has been offered a host of other projects in recent months, including another 'Conan' film.
Vajna hopes shooting will start on the new movie early next year.
