A total of ten cameras have been installed in the last three towns in Pembrokeshire – four in Pembroke, four in Pembroke Dock and two in Fishguard. The CCTV locations where chosen based on the results of a review of a crime pattern analysis and in consultation with partner agencies.
Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said: “The completion of CCTV installation in Pembrokeshire marks a significant step in this complex project.
“I am delighted to see my pledge to the public coming to fruition and hope communities will feel the benefits of having the new and improved technology helping to safeguard their towns.”
Since July 2018, there were over 120 cameras that have been installed in 17 towns throughout the police force areas of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Powys. The scheme is part of the reinvestment in CCTV programme being driven by a key pledge from the Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner.
