Glasgow tech firm ClassForKids is stepping up amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The company, which specialises in providing payment solutions and organising online payments and classes by video for years, provides an avenue for students to stay busy and entertained while they are home quarantined.
CEO and owner Nikki Th'ng formed the company in Glasgow in 2014 after overhearing his partner and a friend bemoaning the hassle involved in booking kids' gymnastics classes.
He said: "As a former tennis coach, I understood the challenges faced by those running an activity business. It was only when I had kids of my own I realised parents were also having problems, from finding up-to-date class information to making class payments."
"Since then the company has gone on to develop a very niche management CRM systems used by Dance Schools, Football Academies, Gymnastics Clubs, Swimming Lessons and just about every activity type in between. We also serve parents, making the mobile booking experience simple."
Th'ng added that ClassForKids became more popular during the coronavirus crisis. "Since the lockdown, we've seen a mixed reaction, which is probably typical of businesses the world over; some have decided to pause operations and hope to return, while other went straight into action and immediately began building new online content and revenue streams. We've responded by offering as much support and information as possible, from how to run classes online to how to communicate with parents, or offer gift vouchers', he said.
