Taylor Swift has filed a restraining order against 33-year-old Timothy Sweet, who believes that he is married to the Love Story singer. Sweet was ordered to stop communicating with Swift and to stay 100 yards away from her, parents, and brother.
Based on the legal documents, Sweet has been stalking the singer since 2011 by bombarding her with emails, letters, and social media posts. In one of his messages, he referred to the 24-year-old star as his wife. He also said that he will carry a gun so he can protect her.
"My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverley Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."
In another, Sweet said he is determined to kill anyone who gets in their way.
"Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate," he wrote.
Taylor, who was seen bumping into her ex Harry Styles at an Oscars party over the weekend, said that Sweet’s behaviour was "seriously alarming and harassing and are extremely distressing to me and my family.”
