Taylor Swift cannot believe that she has won three major awards at the recently concluded MTV EMA, or MTV Europe Music Award. The 22-year-old singer, who tried to speak German, said: “Drei? Drei? I can't believe you gave me three awards!”
She went home with Best Female, Best Live, and Best Look Awards.
Not to be outdone, teen sensation and heart-throb Justin Bieber won three awards also, as he was awarded Best World Stage, Best Pop, and Best Male. Beiber received the awards for the second year in a row, but was unable to attend the ceremony.
Best video went to band Psy who performed the hit song “Gangnam Style” together with host, Heidi Klum.
Swift, who is 22 years old, is an American singer-songwriter whose debut album was released in 2006. Her recent song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” has been a worldwide hit.
Beiber, aged 18, is Canadian born and was discovered by music industry experts following his videos being posted on the Youtube website.
Since then, the teen has achieved great success. His latest song is “Beauty and a Beat” which features the colourful rapper, Nicki Minaj.
