BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman pulled off a surprise win in the final of Celebrity Fame Academy last night.
The shocked outsider beat favourite Kim Medcalf in a head- to-head fight with the Eastenders actress.
Bowman's rendition of the Oasis song Champagne Supernova secured her win in the celebrity talent contest - held in aid of Comic Relief.
Metcalf was knocked into second place with her version of the Wizard of Oz classic, Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Comic Adrian Edmonson came third in the series, which featured 12 celebrities living in a London home together and learning to sing while being subject to regular public eviction votes.
As last night's results were read out by host Cat Deeley, a shocked Bowman looked close to tears.
Presenting the shaken DJ with an envelope containing the amount raised by the public phone vote, comedienne Dawn French joked: "We have been agonising on what to give the winner."
"We thought perhaps a blackboard with photos of the judges - or some of Cat's pants."
A total 8.1 million calls were made to the special Fame Academy hotline during the series, raising over 1.3million for Comic Relief.
Judges in the latest Fame Academy series included resident "headmaster" and radio executive Richard Park and opera singer Lesley Garrett.
