Strictly Come Dancing contestant Joe Calzaghe has split from his girlfriend, Jo-Emma Larvin.

Calzaghe, who retired an undefeated champion, ended his five year relationship with the model after a series of arguments

A spokesperson told MailOnline: "We can confirm that Joe and Jo-Emma split earlier this month. They remain supportive of each other."

It has been reported that since Calzaghe retired in February 2009, the couple had been caught up in a series of ongoing rows.

A source close to the couple told The Sun: "It was a very difficult decision for them both but their relationship has ended and Joe is a single man.

"Jo-Emma was very upset, but knew it was the right thing to do. They don't have kids and have had a wonderful five years together.

"They were beginning to argue over silly things at home and Joe had underestimated how the pace of things once he left the ring would affect home life. He was finding it boring."

The couple started dating when Calzaghe split from his wife Mandy in 2004.
