Strictly branded 'unfair'
The first couple to be voted off are not happy...
09:30 11 October 2010
DJ Goldie has branded the Strictly process as “unfair” after he and his dance partner were voted off last night.
He claimed that the BBC reality show is “not about dancing” and that it would turn into a pantomime if the current voting system carried on.
Strictly Come Dancing previously combined the judgesÂ’ scores with the result of the viewer vote to eliminate one couple, but the format has changed this year.
Now, instead of a dance-off between the two couples with the lowest scores, the pair with the lowest score is immediately eliminated.
Goldie said:
“It was a bit of a shocker. If there was a dance-off, the result would have been totally different. I can’t help but think, ‘That was unfair.’
“It’s not about dancing. Maybe if I’d fallen over a bit more I’d have done better.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Friday and Saturday nights on BBC One.
